Juventus vs Roma | Juventus 1-0 Roma

Roma got off to a good start and played Juventus very well but Daniel Orsato's controversial penalty kick made a difference in today's game. | Gets 99

Juventus beat Chelsea 1-0.

Juventus beat Torino 1-0.

After Sunday night, Juventus can officially say that three are the norm.

In another sign that Max Allegri is just starting to put a stamp on the team, Juventus recorded their third 1-0 victory in most competitions, holding on to the back of the net after Moise Kean's goal in the 16th minute and surviving the first half of a Roma clash. It was another typical Allegri game where he controlled his teams between the ebbs and the flow of the big game with little lead and come out on top. He did it against Chelsea. He did it at the Derby Della Mole facing Torino. He has now done so against Romany, as Juve has now won four consecutive Serie A games and headed to Derby d'Italia over the weekend with a chance of knocking out the top six.

And, just a kick out, Allegri's pre-match commentary on how great Juventus-Roma has always been but always seems to be full of controversy ... well those were over-the-top.

There is no denying that one of the biggest moments in the game came just in time for a penalty kick late in the first half. Are you playing for profit? Do you completely ignore the fact that Henrikh Mkhitaryan was holding the ball when he fell to the ground after (kinda-sorta) jumping over Wojciech Szczesny? Do you just think that everything was utterly stupid and you just want to be happy with Szczesny's preservation means fine and to break Jordan Veretout's record which was right earlier in the area?

Please, let me take the last option.

And I will be happy again to be able to watch Moise Kean dance behind the goal again. (Even if that goal was really good advice that this game would be stupid and totally confusing but be all good at the same time.)

But when all is said and done, Allegri and Juventus did the same thing they did in the last few games - get shut down, get a win and move up to a few places at the Serie A. table. -Allegri puts the group back in line.

He also did it with a forward winger, a right-winger playing in the left-wing, and many other challenges to try to work his way when it comes to injury and lack of options.

The game, the third closing of Juve in a row, also shows us that Allegri needed just a little time to get things right and the results will finally come. Not always good, it won't be something that will write us 1,500 words about how Juve just played, but it becomes a great way to strengthen a team that didn't win the whole month last month.

Now, they all have one point behind the Roma team that started the 2021-22 season and anyone in the entire league lost.

Another 1-0 victory is a good feeling. Another clean sheet is a good feeling. Seeing Juventus play a solid game - yet - invisible is a good feeling. Allegri is doing this job, and the results are coming as a result of it all. That's the way it's done.

THOUGHTS AND AWARENESS

Pre-match line thinking: How do you scare your opponent? Take the left wing with Mattia De Sciglio and Federico Bernardeschi out. Now that, ladies and gentlemen, is what I call dangerous.
And of course De Sciglio goes out and delivers across like that for Juve's first goal.
THEN GET BERNARDESCHI MORE THAN A THOUGHT TIME.

I will never laugh when I look at the repetition of Kean's goal especially because he's following ahead not to miss is what made him get it. Throw in that it was MATTIA FREAKIN ’DE SCIGLIO who sent the cross just adding to the humorous nature of it all. Very good, man.

Federico Chiesa had 11 touchdowns in the first half. That is unacceptable.

In the 69th minute, Chiesa had 19 bad touchdowns.

With Chiesa coming out in the 72nd minute, his last total was 21 touchdowns. That just isn't the case.
I think we can all agree that, no matter what side your roots are in this game, Daniel Orsato is an awesome referee and there is no reason why he should continue to get these big-time games with big-time results. (Oh, I think I actually know why - it's because we participate in Italian and Italian teams.)
Watching the team celebrate with Szczesny after he saved a penalty just before the break as it was the Champions League final shows just what it means to them. Szczesny's struggles this season are well documented, but that was a great time for him, for the team, and the crowd at Allianz Stadium. And that’s a big reason why Juve got shut down, too.

I know I put the bag on De Sciglio a few hundred words ago, but he was really good at the game. I don't know why Allegri keeps picking on him, but hey, it worked on this.

Speaking of unexpected play, what about that brother Fed Bernardeschi? That was almost as we saw him play this season, and that included his performance against Chelsea. That bike effort just shows where his confidence is right now. No wonder Allegri keeps coming to him, right? Beat while the Berna bell is still hot, I think.

I will never be impressed with the first few months of being a Juventus player with angles and passing attempts by Manuel Locatelli. Whether it’s putting some serious English in the ball around someone or just seeing a ball pass hole that those watching us at home can’t see - it’s all as amazing as hell. You are very sweet.

Juan Cuadrado, who recently returned to Italy 48 hours ago after Colombia played on Thursday, played a full 90 m.
